How is Empire Saints OC Jr. All American Football different from IE and So. Jr. All American Football?


There are significant differences between IE and So. JR All American Football and Saints Junior All American Football. Some are as follows:


1.   Saints Junior All American Football is a proud partners in Orange County Junior All American’s Spring Football & Cheer. Football and Cheer with Saints Junior All American Football & Cheer Family is available to players, cheerleaders and parents in the months of February, March, April, May, and June.

 

2.   Conference Diversity: IE and So. Conference solely competes within the Inland Empire inclusive of the low and high desert areas. By contrast, Saints Junior All American Football belongs to a conference that has 24 chapters. Orange County chapters include Irvine, Mission Viejo, Placentia, Newport Mesa, South Orange County, and Westminster. Chapters are also in nearby Rowland Heights, Santa Fe Springs, and Cerritos, as well as other surrounding Los Angeles municipalities. This allows for a more competitive and socially diverse environment for players that will only serve to assist in their development as individuals and as players.

 

3.   Age/Weight Player Certification: IE and So. Cal JR All American Football certifies a players’ weight once for the season of play; no weight regulations are practiced thereafter to inspect proper player conditioning.  Saints Junior All American Football certifies a player weight preseason for proper team level placement then also weekly pregame to maintain a safe level of play for all participating players.  

 

4.   Must Play Guidelines: So. Cal Jr. All American Football mandates a player must play on game day ONLY 10 PLAYS PER GAME; beginning from the start to the end of an game. All plays count; kickoffs, punts, offensive and defensive plays throughout the entire game.

 

Saints OC Junior All American Football mandates players’ playtime as follows:

a.      Jr. Future League (Flag), Jr. Clinic and Clinic Divisions

·      Each player shall play a minimum of one continuous quarter in each regularly scheduled game. The quarter of play shall include offense, defense, and special teams and shall be designated for each player on the must play sheet prior to the start of each game.

 

b.      Jr. Pee Wee and Pee Wee Divisions

·      Must play one continuous quarter offense or one continuous quarter defense, excluding special teams (kickoff, kickoff return, punt, punt return, extra point and field goal teams) and shall be designated on the must play sheet prior to the start of each game.

 

c.      Jr. Midget and Midget Divisions,

·      Which qualify 26 or more players ON GAME DAY: Each player must play a minimum of six (6) action plays. Teams, which qualify with 25 or less players ON GAME DAY: Each player must play a minimum of ten (10) action plays.

 

d.      All Divisions - Each player shall be afforded the maximum opportunity to participate in each game consistent with his abilities and the strategy of the game.
